Through the magic of his telescope the characters in the modern story become figures in the ancient narrative. Along a series of comic mishaps, all roads lead to Bethlehem where a gift of love is discovered at the manger. The scene switches back to the present where insight from the ancient journey and in a check-out line renews the whole family in hope and joy all late One Sleepy Night.
