If you can’t make it in person, please submit a video including this Audition material:
- One sixteen-bar musical selection (30-45 seconds) and an acting monologue (30 seconds – 1 minute)
- For kids who can do the above, please do. Otherwise sing Twinkle,Twinkle, Little Star and then just recite the words with expression.

Story Synopsis
A Modern Family Discovers the Gift of Love that came Late One Sleepy Night
Grandpa Benny Wilson struggling in retirement with his life and his wife, LaToya, learns that his granddaughter Shantelle doesn’t know the story of Christmas. Through the magic of his telescope and some angelic intervention the characters in the modern story become figures in the ancient Christmas narrative. Along a series of comic mishaps, all roads lead to Bethlehem where a gift of love is discovered at the manger. The scene switches back to the present where insight from the ancient journey and in a check-out line renews the whole family in hope and joy—all late One Sleepy Night.

The Wilsons’ daughter, 34 years old, has spirit but not as over the top as her mother. In the ancient story she is Mrs. K’s servant, Deborah Mezzo-soprano vocal range.

Oldest son of Jadyn & Destiny, 12 years old. In charge (or so he thinks.)

Second son of Jadyn & Destiny, 11 years old. On his own path as middle child and kind of grumpy at times. Witty.
Shantelle Gaines, Boss Shepherd
Youngest child of Jadyn & Destiny, 8 years old. Spunky, funny, energized, not afraid of anything, taking control of the situation.
